About Edward Stanton

Edward Stanton is the author of twelve books, some translated into Spanish, Arabic and Chinese. He has published fiction, poetry, essays and translations in journals throughout the U.S., Latin America and Europe, where he has lectured at universities and cultural centers. Edward Stanton has been a Fulbright fellow in Argentina and Uruguay and has received grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the U.S. Department of Education and the government of Spain. He was named the A.R. Sánchez Distinguished Lecturer at Texas A&M International University in 2003 and Distinguished Alumnus at UCLA in 2007. His students and colleagues published “This Spanish Thing”: Essays in Honor of Edward F. Stanton, ed. Michael J. McGrath (Newark: DE, Juan de la Cuesta, 2016).
